Hey there! My name is Karsten and I’m so happy you’re here. I’m an engineer and millennial who is striving to become the highest version of myself. I was born in Indiana, but I’ve been in California most of my life so I guess that makes me a California girl. I’m one of four kids and I love my family very much. I’ve always viewed myself as somewhat of a late bloomer. There’s a lot of learning and wisdom that you can gain while you’re blooming.
Don’t neglect your journey and the lessons you learn along the way.
I genuinely enjoy encouraging and inspiring people to become the best version of themselves. Words with Me started as a blog for my own thoughts and lessons learned that I wanted to share to help other people. What started as a blog in 2018 became a podcast in 2021. I originally started blog writing in 2013 as Twinlyme when I was still in high school. There’s something to learn in almost every experience. Trust me! I can take a lesson out of a reality show and make it a teachable moment for myself and anyone else that’s willing to listen.
So how did I get here?
During my time as an engineering major, I experienced major set backs, bouts of anxiety, insecurity and a lack of motivation. I didn’t really have the tools or the vocab to fully understand what I was going through at the time. I’ve forgiven myself for not knowing what I didn’t know and I hope you’ve forgiven yourself too.
Since then I’ve learned how to cope with my feelings and emotions better. I’ve started prioritizing myself and really investing in my own healing journey. I seek to learn from my own experiences whether they be good or bad. The truth of the matter is that I’m still learning more about myself every single day. I’m evolving, changing, and becoming the highest version of myself.
